Simulation and Machine Learning Application Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting

Whether you are using Nimbix services for research, to simulate models, or develop applications, we strive to provide the resources you need to support your success. If you are new to Nimbix or an established user, we want to provide you with a resource beyond help documentation, so we've begun a series called "Tips, Tricks, & Troubleshooting."   

This series goes beyond common questions related to the JARVICE platform and focuses on issues within a specific application. Each article in the series will include helpful screenshots, making the application troubleshooting process easy to understand, and you, an expert in no time.

The first article within this series, ANSYS Fluent - Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting, is an in-depth look into meshing using Ansys Fluent (CFD). For instance, you may find your model fails to mesh, or you'd like to understand why your mesh check is failing. We also take a comprehensive look into meshing modes, meshing options, and fault-tolerant meshing. We also discuss the two types of Fluent systems within Workbench: Fluid Flow and Fluent Component System.

The second article in this series, ANSYS HFSS - Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting, takes a deeper dive into Ansys' electromagnetic (EM) simulation software and provides guidance on best practices for resolving errors and mesh refinement, advanced meshing and solution setup, and driven modal and driven terminal solution setups. Some common error messages that we will cover include: "Port refinement, process hf3d error," and "Unable to pen some designs from the project file” error.

In future Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting articles, we will focus on other popular applications such as Siemens SimCenter, OpenFoam, and COMSOL.
